HOT: Jada Pinkett Smith Talks Marriage and Commitment
After fifteen years together, Jada Pinkett Smith and husband Will Smith are still going strong. And despite the rumors that there’s trouble in paradise, Jada certainly isn’t letting on to it. In fact, she recently gave some very wise advice to a young starlet who just got engaged: Miley Cyrus. When asked about the key to any successful marriage, Jada said, “Learn how to be friends, especially when you are starting that young. Forever is a long time. When you are starting forever at 19 years old, and it is not to say that there is anything wrong with that, but it is just to know that what it is now and what it will be, it is just going to continue to transform and change. You have to keep flexibility. You have to be with someone you consider as a friend.” Kudos to Jada to having such a level-headed and realistic point of view about marriage – and for giving Miley insight into a commitment that’s supposed to last a lifetime (even if that commitment is lost on 90% of Hollywood). Even though the tabloids have tried to bring Will and Jada down, they always maintain a strong front, putting privacy and their kids first.
