Allison Iraheta Scores a Deal
With all the recent hype around American Idol finalists Kris Allen and Adam Lambert, we’d almost forgotten about the show’s 3rd place (yet still remarkably talented) contestant, Allison Iraheta. The 17-year old rocker with one powerful set of pipes signed a record deal with 19 Recordings and Jive Records this week. “I think I’m still in shock that this is happening,” said Iraheta, the show’s youngest contestant to make the top 12. “Getting to record my first album and this whole awesome experience is a dream come true!” And at only 17, we have a feeling she’ll be making many more dreams a reality.
