Barack Takes the Blame
In response to the public outrage over some $165 million in bonus pay at A.I.G., President Barack Obama announced that he will take the blame for the mishandling of the money: “Washington is all in a tizzy over who’s at fault,” Mr. Obama said. “Some say it’s the Democrats’ fault, the Republicans’ fault. Listen, I’ll take responsibility. I’m the president.” Barack’s willingness to be held accountable (something America hasn’t seen in a leader in quite some time) might be enough to calm the outcry, though it remains to be seen if he’ll be able to recover all the crooked cash.
