I'm really bored with my job, and I feel like I'm going nowhere career-wise. It's starting to drag me down and I think getting out of it would be a really good thing for me. But I'm 32, and I'm worried about starting over this late. Has anyone had any experience with this?

I haven't, but I know what you're going through. What you need to do is if you're worried about starting over, look at other jobs while you are still working at your job. Then, if you find a better job that you will like and that is hiring people, then quit your job. Then, you won't be worried.

I hear you... but finding a job isn't really what I'm worried about. I've spent 10 years pursuing this career and climbing the ladder in this profession, and I don't know if I can handle being back at the bottom again. I definitely don't have as much energy for that stuff as I used to...

OMG, I know exactly what you mean! I used to be able to pull 70 hour weeks at work, 10 hours in the gym and 15 hours in the club! Sadly, by 8:30pm I am ready for some hot tea and bed.

I know what you mean. I totally agree with zozo515. If you think that you're job isn't the right one for you, look at other jobs! Just the big reminder: don't quit just yet. You don't want to quit and then realize that you didn't find any jobs.

At 30 it's okay to have a career change. As a matter of fact any time you please. Remember you must have a plan. Do not leave your present job until you're sure of what you're going to do. One thing you could do right away, if you could put on makeup you can check out this site. marykay.com/enidc and you might like what you see . From them I've learned the correct way to put it on and take care of the only skin I have, and also met some wonderful women while doing so and it also made me feel fulfilled.

I understand. But truthfully we are facing hard economic times. I say keep your job while you look for something better. Take a few classes. Save and maybe start your own business.

It's time to take a serious look at your life to discover your true passion. Many trade that for climbing the ladder. I'm sure you've developed some phenomenal skills over the years during your climb. See what you come up with by coupling those corporate skills with your true passion!

Please don't tell me you think 30 is told old for anything! (Except maybe for wearing clothes fit for a teenager). I understand you fear of having to start back at the bottom again, but I think you'll find that won't be entirely true. Your power lies in your transferable skills. You have to figure out what skills you've learned in the past 10 years that apply to your new career endeavor... And I bet there are more than a few. Once you figure out how to market yourself appropriately and get training in the areas needed, you'll be off to a higher start on that ladder than you thought. Good luck!
