How bored can I be and continue to work?

My job is SOOOOO boring. I am fortunate to HAVE a job in my area and it is only temporary at that but I am so bored (soooooo bored) every day and I know it's better than Unemployment $ but I just don't know what to do anymore. I have tried repeatedly to let my "boss" know that I have nothing to do. He/She (boss) gives me a small project, tells me I'm doing a great job and then I've nothing to do again. I let He/She know again and a meeting is scheduled to provide me with a new project, some days later... This has been going on for 2 months now. And.. I'm not a slacker. The office is SPOTLESS. I've no problem cleaning. But I'm not a cleaning lady. This is administrative work. The pay is great and I now have a new promotional title under my belt to go forth with. Can I just say "Give me work or let me go" ??? I can't afford to go. I am going crazy sitting.

Have you thought about doing a course by correspondance that is related to your job? That would benefit the company with your extra skills but also keep your brain occupied.

Hi ~ I would be taking ecourses or buying ebooks too keep my brain functioning during the day. I wouldn't buy a romance/mystery ebook but a business/self-improvement book that can improve your personal/professional life. Type in notes on what you're reading and save it on a separate disk that way you look busy.
