Dear Nicole,
I woke up in a panic the other morning—overslept 40 minutes and got ready in a fury to make it to my 9am interview for the absolute job of my dreams. Got to the building, went to do the switch from flip flops into heels, and realized I’d packed two completely different shoes in my bag! (One purple peep toe and one black pump). The worst part? It was for a position in fashion! Made a quick decision and went with the heels thinking I’d make a statement, and knowing no one in fashion would be caught dead in flip flops. I went through with the interview but the confidence was completely shot and I obviously looked ridiculous. Can’t believe I blew my big chance. Do you have any ideas about how I can recoup, or is all hope lost for this job?
