Magic Man

Yesterday was the last day of Magic show so you are probably dying to know how the chips fell. First of all let me say that although I’ve been writing this under the radar for over a year, I’m having some serious palpitations about this situation. I have changed a few key things to help mask the identity of Mr. Man, but still. You all know what industry we are in and now you know what trade show we just went to and (pause to place head between knees and hyperventilate) oh my god,

oh my god,

oh my god.

OK. I’m OK. I guess I’ll just spit it out.

It happened.

I can’t get into every detail but here goes: We were booked on the same flight. Since our tickets were booked separately we weren’t seated together. But we said hello while boarding blah, blah, blah. Then, about five minutes later I was putting all my magazines in the pocket thingy and getting my Ipod all sorted out and guess who shows up with his carry on? Yep, he had asked to switch. That’s the moment I knew it was on. I can’t remember what we talked about honestly. It wasn’t particularly sexually charged or anything. God knows I have no sexy talk skills anyway. I think it’s obvious that I’m the type who giggles their way through phone sex (and actual sex
occasionally) but I digress. Anyway, we check in, go our separate ways with little ceremony.

Twenty minutes later he knocks on my door. We didn’t say a word, it was so hot.

So the show was three days long and each one pretty much went down exactly like that. We did our jobs separately for the most part. I met with him for lunch each day to go over sourcing finds and stuff. And then he’d show up at my room each night. He never slept over and we never talked about it. I’m still here (flying home this afternoon). So I have no idea if this is a Vegas only sitch or if it will carry over to reality land. It was amazing by the way.

Every. Single. Time.

Did I just make the worst mistake of my career? ‘Cause I have to be honest, it doesn’t feel like it.
