My mornings have begun to fall into a familiar pattern. I arrive at work, scarf my email, skim my NY Times headlines, and head over to Naomi's office to fill in her eyebrows. You've got to love the Nay-Nay cause she let me tweeze to my heart's content during our first trend meeting. After the initial pluck fest, I filled in the areas that needed it with my  trusty kit from Anastasia. Those little brow stencils are brilliant! Anyway, Naomi said she was pretty sure she'd be unable to maintain my masterpiece, and that I should enjoy it while it lasted.

I said, "listen woman, I'm the one who has to look at your grill all the livelong day, so if I have to become your personal makeup artist for the length of this project, so be it."

Ever since then, I've been freshening them up for her each a.m.. I'd like to think it's an act of selfless generosity, but I think we all know better. More like selfish control-freak-osity, but who's keeping score?

On a side note, the group groom sesh really seemed to help kick off the brainstorming. In fact I highly recommend it as part of an overall corporate idea generator. While I worked on Naomi's face, we each came up with a mountain of great ideas for the collection. It reminded me of 6th grade slumber parties spent crafting elaborate plots to become more popular next year (all while crimping each other's hair). You should totally try it! Next time you hit a wall during a brainstorm meeting, whip out a teasing comb and start styling your co-worker's hair into an Amy Winehouse beehive. I'll bet you a million bucks you blurt out at least five amazing ideas before you even get to the bangs.
