And They Sure As Hell Don’t Dig Your CD Collection

So I’m back on my famous soup diet, having dug myself a very deep, boot-shaped grave. In case you don’t know, whenever I spend myself into a corner, I do a bit of reparation in the form of eating a cheapo can of soup every day for lunch courtesy of my good buddies over at Campbell’s. On the good side it saves me at least a $100 a week from ordering in and I quickly shed a pound or two. On the bad side, I become cranky and unreasonable almost immediately, due to the sheer monotony (mmm, mmm possibilities, my ass). I guess I’m just a girl who loves food… particularly the kind you can chew. This time I promised Ali that if I became insufferable she had the right to read me the roit act and force me to have top-of-the-line sushi delivered. She made a very good case for herself. I suppose I would be better off destroying my credit than our friendship. I mean, Capital One never stayed on the phone with me till 3 a.m., rattling off a list of reasons why I shouldn’t give up, quit my job and move back to the softer, gentler Midwest – i.e. “Those people will never be able to understand or appreciate your footwear.” But oh my God the boot shopping was dreamy this season! Among other things, I scored those incredible Bottega Intrecciato boots. I don’t care if I have to live on saltines and tap water till spring. They are soooooo worth it.
